Tourism resorts across Cambodia ready to welcome tourists during holiday with COVID-19 preventive measures

At least 557 tourism resorts across Cambodia opened for both domestic and foreign tourists during the five-day holiday with preventive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic, state-run Agence Kampuchea Press (AKP) reported on Monday.

The Southeast Asian nation started to celebrate the holiday from Monday to Friday in lieu of the Khmer New Year holiday in April that was postponed due to the onset of COVID-19.

Top Sopheak, a spokesman for the Ministry of Tourism, said the opened tourism resorts included natural tourism resorts, cultural and historical resorts, man-made resorts, and ecotourism communities.
