A favourite of uncle King Norodom Sihamoni, the 22-year-old quit Cambodia for California and a life in front of the camera – performing in stage musicals and posting pop song covers on Instagram from quarantine, playing his preferred Fender Telecaster guitar.

While it’s common for many young royals to travel widely, spread their wings and study abroad, most eventually respond to their patriotic calling and return home to their respective kingdoms. Cambodia’s Norodom Reasmey Khemuni found a second home on the other side of the world. This 22-year-old royal, who also goes by the name Muni, is taking cues from his uncle King Norodom Sihamoni and making a mark in the arts – and on the stage.
