Cambodia’s Angkor Wat temple enjoys spiritual comeback as tourism recovers (video)

Tourism in Cambodia makes up more than 30 percent of the gross domestic product. Pandemic-related shutdowns have had a devastating effect. Cambodia has been open for foreign tourists for months now, but during the COVID pandemic, few have traveled to visit the world famous Angkor Wat temple complex.

The complex, which was being exploited for its commercial value, has, in part, recovered some of its spiritual roots.

Now Cambodians are coming in droves to rediscover their history.
