Cambodian Killing Fields to Longview lemonade stand

Savan Kong was a year old when his family fled the killing fields of Cambodia and was granted asylum in the United States.

Kong, now 39, worked his way out of poverty to become a successful computer programmer.

Now that his daughter is 6, Kong said he and his wife, Pamela Hayes-Kong, are raising her to give back to her community in Longview.
