Cambodia’s COVID-19 case total jumped to 10,555 on Monday after 580 new infections were confirmed across the country in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health (MoH) said in a statement.
Five more fatalities have been reported, bringing the death toll to 79, the statement said, adding that 177 patients have recovered, taking the overall number of recoveries to 3,577.
The statement said the new infections included 579 local cases-337 in capital Phnom Penh, 91 each in Preah Sihanouk and Banteay Meanchey provinces, 51 in Kandal province, two each in Prey Veng and Kampong Thom provinces, and one each in Svay Rieng, Tboung Khmum, Kampong Chhnang, Kampong Speu and Kep provinces-and one imported case.
