Cambodia confirms 4th death from COVID-19

Cambodia on Monday reported one new death from COVID-19, bringing the total number of deaths from the coronavirus epidemic in the kingdom to four.

The Ministry of Health said in a statement that the deceased was a 75-year-old retired Cambodian doctor living in Porsenchey district of the capital Phnom Penh. He was confirmed to be with the virus on Sunday and had a history of hypertension.

The victim had suffered breath problems in the four days before he came to the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital for a COVID-19 test, the statement said, adding that he died on Monday morning although the doctors had used a ventilator to help him breathe.
