Cambodia announces recovery of last COVID-19 case

Cambodia said Saturday that the last of 122 people in the country who had contracted the novel coronavirus has recovered from the potentially lethal infection and been discharged from medical treatment.

In a statement, the Health Ministry said the patient, a 36-year-old Cambodian woman, was discharged from hospital on Friday.

Despite declaring the country free of the coronavirus, the government continues to urge people to stay vigilant amid reports of a possible “second wave” of infections.
