2 Japanese men admit roles in killing of taxi driver in Cambodia

Siem Reap – Two Japanese men admitted in court Monday their roles in the murder of a taxi driver in Cambodia’s northwestern province of Siem Reap earlier this year.

In the nearly two-hour hearing, Ryuji Nakakuki, 24, confessed that he was the one who killed 40-year-old driver Hoem Chan with a knife on March 17, though he insisted had no murderous intent.

His friend Reimon Ishida, 23, a former Japan Ground Self-Defense Force member, conspired with him in the incident that took place in Puok district, about 18 kilometers from Siem Reap city.
