It’s not just the Cambodian community in the US who has been impacted by ramped-up ICE deportations. Today the eyes of the Vietnamese community are all on a meeting between the Department of Homeland Security and the Vietnamese government. The 2008 Repatriation Agreement that exempted refugees who arrived before 1975 from deportation is being renegotiated. The Asian American Resource Workshop has issued a community alert in the hopes of stalling a revision of the agreement.
