Thailand urges Cambodia to have migrant workers officially documented for jobs

Bangkok – Thailand on Tuesday urged Cambodia to see to it that Cambodian migrant workers seeking jobs in Thailand are officially documented in the first place.

During a meeting in Siem Reap between Thailand’s Labor Minister M.R. Chatumongkol Sonakul and Cambodia’s Labor and Vocational Training Minister Ith Samheng, the Thai side demanded that all Cambodian workers seeking jobs in Thailand be officially documented by Cambodian authorities.

Thailand provides One Stop Service for migrant workers from its neighboring states, including Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia, who have intended to work legally in this country.
