Digital literacy crucial for Cambodia’s workforce

The kingdom needs to upgrade its workforce skills, maximise youth dividend and accelerate digital transformation, said the UNDP.

This is so that the kingdom can develop a competitive edge as one of the most dynamic regions in the world, said UNDP resident representative to Cambodia Alissar Chaker.

In addition, she said Cambodia needs to diversify its economy in the direction of green and low-carbon production as it moves forward to realising the country’s 2030 and 2050 visions of becoming a high-middle income and graduating to a high-income country.

“Cambodia’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector and young workforce offer so much opportunity to realise these ambitions”, said Chaker at the Global Entrepreneurship Week Cambodia 2021.
