Cracker maker Kameda Seika to set up joint venture in Cambodia

Japanese company eyes country's quality rice, workforce, access to new markets

NIIGATA, Japan — Japanese rice cracker maker Kameda Seika will set up a joint venture in Cambodia, in an effort to ship products to the U.S. and other countries. The company aims to cash in on the Southeast Asian country’s quality rice and stable workforce.
