China Unicom Sets Up Cambodian Subsidiary

State-owned telecom service provider China Unicom set up a branch in Cambodia, increasing the number of units in “countries and regions along the Belt and Road” to 13, the company said.

“Chinese and Cambodian operators will deepen partnerships and provide native Cambodian companies and Chinese capital firms investing in Cambodia better network-cloud integrated telecom services,” Cambodia’s Posts and Telecommunications Minister H.E. Tram Iv Tek said in a statement. “We look forward to China Unicom deepening its participation in the ‘Digital Cambodia’ program.”
