Cambodia’s garment manufacturers group urges all stakeholders to join hands to stem COVID-19 spread

The Garment Manufacturers Association in Cambodia (GMAC) on Tuesday called on all stakeholders to join hands to prevent the spread of the COVID-19.

In a press statement, the GMAC appealed to all buyers not to give up on Cambodia, to factories to prioritize workers’ safety, and to workers to be confident in preventive measures being implemented at workplace.

“We urge you (all buyers) to fulfill your existing contractual obligations by taking delivery of goods already produced and goods currently in production and pay under the normal term,” it said. “This will allow us to be able to pay our workers and continue the work for them.”
