Phnom Penh – Cambodia exported products worth 11.2 billion U.S. dollars in 2018, up 4 percent over 2017, according to a Commerce Ministry’s annual report released on Monday.
Speaking during the ministry’s annual conference, Commerce Minister Pan Sorasak said Cambodian products had been shipped to 147 countries and regions around the world.
“The growth is driven by the increases in the exports of apparel as well as agricultural and industrial products,” he said. “The export volume accounts for about 60 percent of Cambodia’s GDP (gross domestic product).”
