Cambodia’s famed Angkor Archaeological Park received 399,720 international visitors during the first 11 months of 2020, a decrease of nearly 80 per cent over the same period last year, the state-owned Angkor Enterprise said on Tuesday (Dec 1).
The ancient park made US$18.6 million in revenue from ticket sales during the January-November period this year, a drop of 79 per cent year-on-year, it said in a statement.
In November alone, the site welcomed only 1,235 foreigners earning $52,380, down 99.3 per cent and 99.4 per cent, respectively compared to the same month last year, it said.
