Cambodian aquafeed plant to open in June

A US government supported aquafeed plant in Cambodia that will use US grown soybeans in its feed production will open in June, the American Soybean Association (ASA) said.

The plant in Siam Riap, Cambodia, has received ASA’s support through its World Initiative for Soy in Human Health program as well as funding from the US Department of Agriculture (USDA). The project’s backers hope to “accelerate production of high-demand fish species for the Cambodian market and develop a lasting aquaculture industry”, the ASA said,
