Cambodia’s apparel exports of $758.532 million in the first three quarters of this year have already crossed the total exports of $613.344 million in 2021. At this rate, the exports are likely to touch the $1 billion mark by December 2022. The two countries are planning to sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU), as per Cambodia’s ministry of commerce.
Cambodia’s apparel exports to the UK were $729.940 million in 2020, $906.820 million in 2019, $1,062.281 million in 2018 and $919.337 million in 2017. On a quarterly basis, the exports were at $276.038 million in Q3, $247.153 million in Q2 and $235.340 billion in Q1 2022. Last year, the country’s shipment was $186.807 million in Q4, $154.342 million in Q3 and $124.671 million in Q2, according to Fibre2Fashion’s market insight tool TexPro.
However, the exports of home textiles from Cambodia to the UK were negligible. The shipment decreased from $13.480 million in 2019 to $5.041 million in 2020 and $8.035 million in 2021. Cambodia exported home textiles worth $8.615 million in the first three quarters of this year.
