One of the many idiocies of our current crop of politicos is that we’ll lead the world in 5G.
In fact, it looks as if Cambodia will beat us to it – along with most other developed countries.
As the UK struggles with whether we can use Huawei, investment-averse telcos, planning permission procedures and a pitiful £40 million contribution from government, Cambodia plans to have commercial 5G services operating this year.
