ADB announces new country partnership strategy for Cambodia

The plan focuses on sustainable economic growth through private sector-led diversification, human development, and climate resilience.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has introduced a new country partnership strategy for Cambodia, covering the period 2024-2028. This strategic plan is closely aligned with the initial phase of Cambodia’s national Pentagonal Strategy, aiming to fortify the pathways towards a sustainable, inclusive, and resilient economy.

The five-year strategy emphasises collaboration with the government and other partners to accelerate private-sector-led economic diversification, advance human development, and bolster climate resilience. It incorporates crosscutting priorities addressing climate change, enhancing governance and institutional capacity, improving gender equality, promoting digitalisation, and deepening regional cooperation and integration, ADB said in a press release.
