Security Guards Remove CNRP Campaign Election Stickers

Seven security guards spent Friday morning removing CNRP campaign election stickers from lampposts and trees along Kampuchea Krom Boulevard in Phnom Penh’s Prampi Makara district, claiming the postings violated an agreement with City Hall.

“They are not respecting an agreement made at City Hall before the campaign started, so we have to remove them,” deputy governor Keang Leak said. “If they still put stickers again, we move them and then inform the PEC [Phnom Penh Election Committee].”

Hen Sinoun, a CNRP commune councilor candidate in the district, said she wasn’t worried about losing the advertising. “People will understand more clearly what’s the bad activity here,” she said.
